The city is in Bolshevik hands. On the outskirts there are proclamations: it is announced that the “government has been overthrown.” Prokopovich is also arrested on the street, and Gvozdev, who was later released. (They are obviously trying it out with their paw first, carefully… That’s ok!) They have occupied the train stations, Mariinsky Palace, (having ejected “the reception room” without much noise), telegraphs, printing presses of “Russian Liberty” and “Stock Exchange.” In the Winter Palace there are still ministers, surrounded by “loyal” troops.
