I said that I don’t demand any influence on the composition of the government, but since I’ve been asked for my opinion, I have to say earnestly that I find Kerensky a feeble man who gets easily influenced by other opinions and who, of course, has no skill in his profession.

I’m going to Feodosia with the kids. Hunger has come to Moscow, it will soon get cold as well, everyone is telling me to go.

In a conversation Tereschenko informed me that three cavalry divisions had been summoned from the front to guard against the danger of a Bolshevik rising, and I rather hoped from what he told me about the political situation that Kerensky and KorniloffCommander in Chief of the Petrograd command - from 18 March 1917 were, after all, working together for the maintenance of order.

Russian newspapers today give an overview of the big Parisian scandal: AlmereydaEvgeny Vigo is a radical French anarchist, socialist and internationalist. His alias, Miguel Almereida, is an anagram of the expression "this shit" (fr. - y'a la merde). He was found dead in the prison cell. is killed in prison, the reputation of six ministers and their deputies was compromised in “Bonnet Rouge”The satirical radical French newspaper ("The Phrygian Cap"), Clemenceau fulminates. The government is more than shaken.

It was a nice day. V. N. Derevenko and his family arrived and that was the biggest thing that had happened for days. Unfortunately, bad news from the front was confirmed. We learned that Riga still stood but that our army had retreated far into the northeast.
